Job summary

American Security & Investigations is seeking an Experienced Security Officer for West Des Moines, IA. The role offers part-time morning shifts (Mon-Fri 6am-10am) at $17.50 per hour, plus a $300 sign-on bonus.

A pre-employment drug screen and background check are required, and candidates must be able to speak English and patrol facilities safely. Responsibilities include patrolling sites, reporting hazards, securing access points, enforcing rules, and responding to alarms.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Minimum 1 year of corporate security experience.
• Must be able to speak English.
• Pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check required.
• Able to meet physical requirements including walking, patrolling, climbing stairs, and performing CPR.

Responsibilities

• Patrol buildings and facilities to ensure safety and security.
• Investigate hazards and report suspicious activity or incidents.
• Secure doors and windows and enforce site rules.
• Respond to alarms and coordinate with team as needed.
