Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Associate in Southaven, MS. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, and provide exceptional customer service for employees and visitors.

Position is part-time with a pay rate of $18.00 per hour. Schedule includes Daytime on Saturdays and Sundays, with potential for additional shifts through the Claim a Shift platform. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors at a manufacturing and industrial distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including warehouse operations, loading docks, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter points, to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; verify credentials, maintain required logs, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Support a professional, orderly environment by reporting hazards, damaged property, policy concerns, and other security-related issues to Allied Universal leadership and site management.
