Job summary

Allied Universal® in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for Patrol Monitoring to safeguard clients across manufacturing and industrial locations. You will provide customer service, maintain a visible security presence, and respond to incidents while following site procedures and policies.

Minimum qualifications include at least 6 months of security experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and passing a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, facility entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site-specific visitor, employee, and contractor procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
