Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol CPR Ready in San Jose, CA. This role offers flexible hours with fixed anchor shifts and a schedule that may include picking up extra shifts to boost earnings.

Pay rate is $22.83 per hour. Ideal candidates have CPR certification and a high school diploma; background checks and drug screening are standard requirements. This position supports transportation facilities with customer service and security duties.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at transportation facilities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit buildings, platforms, parking areas, bus and rail operational areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; request additional assistance from emergency services and/or site contacts as appropriate.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
