Job summary

Allied Universal is currently hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a Corporate Site in Boston, MA. The position offers Fridays from 9:30 AM to 8:00 PM, with an option to pick up additional shifts.

Starting pay is $20.50 per hour, with paid orientation and paid training, providing a flexible, dependable option to supplement income or pursue a full-time security career. Daily duties include customer service to tenants and visitors, monitoring access, responding to incidents, and patrolling

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a retail telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures; maintain accurate logs and complete required reports.
• Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed by site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of retail areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or activity.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by providing directions, answering questions, and communicating professionally with site personnel and the public.
