Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol at a financial institution in Los Angeles, CA. The position offers fixed shifts with additional pick-up shifts via our scheduling platform to boost earnings and experience across sites.

Pay rate is $21.54 per hour, with a day-time schedule. The role provides flexible hours, a base commitment, and opportunities to grow into a fuller schedule as needed.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management in accordance with site-specific policies and financial institution requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and daily activities, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
