Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Care in Sterling, VA. The role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through a scheduling platform to earn more, with a starting pay rate of $19.29 per hour and a daytime schedule from 08:00 to 16:00.

The position provides an anchor shift at a designated site for six months, with opportunities to grow into a full-time schedule up to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of data center areas, office spaces, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications accurately and promptly.
