Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time in New York, NY. This role offers fixed anchor shifts with a six-month commitment and the option to claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform to increase earnings.

You’ll provide front-desk security, manage visitor logs, and uphold access-control procedures while delivering excellent customer service at a commercial real estate site.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Guard card or security license preferred.
• State, county, or city security license preferred.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may vary by state/local law.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and vendors while following site-specific security procedures.
• Staff the front desk, greet and direct visitors, maintain visitor logs, and support access-control processes.
• Monitor entry activity, cameras, alarms, and other systems; report unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and tenant concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner; coordinate emergency response when needed.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation; represent Allied Universal professionally at the location.
