Allied Universal in Naperville, IL is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide reliable, customer-focused security at a site. The role emphasizes a fixed anchor shift with the option to pick up additional shifts through a scheduling platform, supporting a flexible income and ongoing growth within a leading security company.

The position offers a starting pay of $18.54 per hour and a schedule that includes DayTimeSat07:00 AM - 03:00 PM, with potential to scale to more hours.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, entry points, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and report access concerns or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, documenting observations, incidents, and security-related concerns for site leadership and Allied Universal management.
