Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time in Murrells Inlet, SC. This role provides reliable, flexible hours at an assigned site with opportunities to pick up extra shifts and earn more through our Earn-A-Shift program.

You will deliver customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while following site policies, perform patrols, respond to incidents, and support access control.

Qualifications

• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established notification and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Assist with access-control procedures, visitor directions, and monitoring of designated areas while maintaining a professional presence in a healthcare environment.
• Document observations, incidents, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
