Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced at our Edison, NJ distribution center. This role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, designed to provide reliable hours and the potential to grow into a full‑time schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state and local laws; drug screen.
• Background history considered in compliance with laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site‑specific security procedures and access‑control policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, issue visitor passes, and maintain entry/exit records.
• Control access for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in logistics areas.
• Respond to incidents calmly and escalate according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility, loading areas, and perimeter.
