Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Badge Verification in Cranbury, NJ. This role offers flexible, anchor shifts and the opportunity to earn more by picking up additional shifts through our scheduling platform while contributing to client security.

Pay is $17.40 per hour, with day-time schedule 11:00 AM to 07:00 AM. The position supports part-time workloads with potential path to full-time, at a leading security and facilities provider.

Qualifications

• State, county, or city issued security license preferred.
• Experience with access control and badges preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, visitors, and employees while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, access‑control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and manage access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, issue and collect credentials as directed, and maintain accurate access‑control records.
• Respond to incidents, access‑control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized access.
• Assist with the orderly flow of deliveries, vendors, and customers while helping to maintain a professional and welcoming presence at the location.
