Job summary

Allied Universal in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access to provide site access control, monitor entry/exit points, and respond to incidents. This role offers reliable hours, the ability to pick up extra shifts, and a pay rate of $15.24 per hour with a six-month anchor shift commitment at a logistics site.

Shifts include Saturday 11:00 PM–7:00 AM; the job supports part‑time earnings with opportunities to grow toward a full schedule up to 40 hours per week,

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site‑specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and delivery appointments, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and control access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, trailer yards, parking areas, loading areas, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations involving access control, unusual activity, and policy violations to Allied Universal leadership and designated site representatives.
