Job summary

Allied Universal in Brook Park, OH is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time at a technology-focused site. You will provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while enforcing site-specific policies.

The role offers fixed anchor shifts with a six-month commitment and opportunities to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings, with a pay rate of $15.75 per hour.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access control systems, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and collect access badges, and maintain accurate visitor and access-related records.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, office areas, equipment spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized access.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, access concerns, and shifts in site conditions.
