Summary

The part-time Security Officer at the Branson Convention Center plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of guests, staff, and property by monitoring and patrolling the facility. This role supports the full-time security staff by providing shift coverage during leave, events, peak activity times, and as-needed operational support.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor security camera and parking systems, maintain active coverage of the Command Office.
  • Conduct routine patrols to ensure a safe environment.
  • Monitor crowd behavior and intervene as needed.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms, or incidents, following venue policies.
  • Complete incident reports and participate in post-incident reviews.
  • Inspect safety systems to ensure proper function.
  • Assist with access control, crowd management, and evacuation procedures.
  • Maintain logs of key distribution, equipment usage, and shipments.
  • Provide professional customer service to clients, guests, and staff.
  • Support event operations, including parking, crowd control, and other duties.
  • Remain flexible and responsive to event needs, including irregular hours.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Experience in security or related fields preferred.
  • Familiarity with venue security protocols is a plus.
  • Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.
  • Clear communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with security systems.
  • Physical ability to patrol on foot, lift up to 50 lbs, and respond quickly.
  • Flexible, dependable, adaptable.
  • Team-oriented with a professional demeanor.
  • Must obtain First Aid/CPR/AED and Trained Crowd Manager certifications.
  • Legally authorized to operate a motor vehicle in the U.S.
