Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time, Unarmed) in Fort Wayne, IN to protect clients across tech, media, and telecom locations. You will monitor areas, assist with access control, and provide customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

This role offers a flexible schedule with day-time shifts and requires high school diploma, 18+ years, and ability to pass background checks and a drug screen. CPR is preferred and license requirements may apply.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law; drug screen required; licensing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations calmly following site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and maintain incident and patrol documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and emergency responders to maintain a professional environment.
