Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, invites you to join as a Part-Time Security Officer with Access Control in Normal, IL. You will deliver customer service at an automotive manufacturing site, manage entry points, verify credentials, and respond to incidents while maintaining a visible security presence.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• State, county, or city issued security license preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
• Loss prevention experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local rules.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, parking lots, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access by verifying credentials and documenting entries per site policies.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate shift activities to Allied Universal leadership.
