Midway University is seeking dependable and safety-minded individuals to join our Campus Security team on an as-needed (PRN) basis. This is an ideal opportunity for those looking for flexible part-time work in a professional and supportive environment.

About the Role: Campus Security Officers play a key role in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for our students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Officers will monitor campus grounds, respond to incidents, and provide general security services, particularly during evening and weekend hours.

What You'll Do:

1. Patrol campus buildings and grounds on foot
2. Respond promptly to emergencies and calls for assistance
3. Assist students with safe transport across campus after dark
4. Report safety hazards or suspicious activities
5. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times

Qualifications

Requirements:

1. High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors Degree preferred
2. 1-3 years of law enforcement, campus safety or security experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
4. Ability to follow procedures and remain calm under pressure
5. Willingness to work flexible, variable hours as needed
6. Must have a current Kentucky driver’s license and be approved as an authorized driver by the University and be insurable under university guidelines
7. Experience using Microsoft Office Word/Excel is highly desirable

These positions involve moderate lifting, the use of stairs, and extensive walking in all weather conditions.
