Securitas USA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Clear Lake, IA. The role focuses on maintaining a safe environment through access control, patrols, and vigilant monitoring.

The position requires the ability to work 8-hour shifts, handle emergencies, and provide excellent customer service to client staff and visitors. • 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer/technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid/effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for clients by actively monitoring premises.
• Perform access control and conduct routine patrols.
• Enforce site rules and directives for personnel and visitors.
• Identify and report safety hazards or suspicious activity.
• Provide customer service and information to client employees and guests.
• Operate technology devices as required during shift.
• Carry out post orders and assigned rounds.
• Support client staff with security needs as assigned.

Part-Time Security Officer

Primary Location: Clear Lake, IA

Wage: $19.00/HR

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

What You Can Expect

• 1 8 hour shift guaranteed (more hours are able to be picked up to cover vacations and call offs).
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.
