Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Reception Attendant in Hartford, CT. This role offers reliable, fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to earn more while supporting multiple sites.

Qualifications

A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws will be conducted.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
Monitor access to the location, greet and direct visitors, and maintain awareness of activity at the front desk.
Assist with visitor sign‑in processes, credential verification, and communication with site personnel in accordance with site‑specific procedures.
