The Department of Chemistry and Forensic Science at EKU is seeking a Part-Time Secondary Instructor to work with program faculty, assisting in teaching undergraduate lectures and laboratories. Appointment will begin this Fall 2026 semester, with options to renew on a semester-to-semester basis, as available.
Course load may be up to 9 credit hours per semester, depending on need. Courses may include, but are not limited to: Introductory Chemistry, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Analytic Chemistry, associated labs, and any other chemistry and/or forensic science course offered by the department.
Candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related discipline, or hold a bachelor's degree and at least 18 graduate credit hours in Chemistry or a related discipline. Degree(s) must be from a regionally (SACS, Middle States, North Central, etc.) accredited or internationally recognized institution.
Candidates will submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, unofficial transcripts for undergraduate and graduate programs, and contact information for at least 3 professional references. Review of applications will begin immediately.
