NATURE OF WORK
Under supervision of the Public Works Manager, the Seasonal Maintenance Technician is primarily responsible to assist full time employees in the maintenance and upkeep of the Towns infrastructure. Duties may include mowing, trimming, weed control, cleaning debris, trash removal, and other duties as assigned.
Seasonal Maintenance Technicians may be assigned to assist on projects related to street maintenance, water and/or storm water system maintenance, fleet department, and/or general maintenance of Town facilities.
There may be occasions where seasonal personnel will be required to assist on weekends in Frederick events, such as Frederick in Flight, Chainsaws and Chuckwagons, and Miners Day, or tree limb drop-offs.
Seasonal Maintenance Technicians frequently perform strenuous work for extended periods of time and must work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
This is a seasonal / temporary assignment, typically working 40 hours per week, during the summer months ( May through August / September).
