VDCI is currently hiring for a Part-Time Seasonal Mosquito Spray Truck Driver in the Green Cove Springs, FL area.

What do our Mosquito Spray Truck Drivers do?

The primary purpose of this role is to be responsible for safely and effectively operating a mosquito control spray truck as part of an integrated mosquito management program. At VDCI, we focus on preventing the spread of diseases through mosquito control, including mosquito surveillance, preventative services, and large-scale spraying.

Compensation and Schedule

• Pay rate: $13.00 per hour.
• Work schedule: From sundown until completion, Monday - Friday, with some weekends.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Spraying assigned zones thoroughly as instructed.
• Using GPS monitor equipment properly and reporting malfunctions.
• Recording all data accurately from each spray mission.
• Handling all chemicals according to labels and SDS.
• Following safety procedures and using PPE at all times.
• Operating equipment safely and maintaining cleanliness.
• Supporting and enforcing safety policies.
• Performing outdoors work, potentially exposed to hazards.
• Lifting items up to 50 pounds safely.
• Operating a motor vehicle safely.

Essential Job Functions

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
• Successful background check.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Strong reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Basic math skills for mixing products.
• Ability to maintain necessary licenses/certificates.
• Customer service experience preferred.
