Qualifications

• Requires a Georgia teaching certificate and a bachelor's degree in education or related field.
• Must meet Georgia Professional Standards Commission requirements to teach the assigned subject.
• Ability to relate well to students, parents, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Teach one or more subjects and plan long- and short-range objectives.
• Participate in professional learning and apply practices to raise student achievement.
• Instruct using varied methods to supplement presentations.
• Promote engagement by continually assessing student abilities against goals.
• Support students with encouragement.
• Use time effectively.
• Manage behavior to maintain conducive learning; assist in supervision on grounds.
• Collaborate in teams to review data and adjust instruction.
• Maintain up-to-date grade and attendance records.
• Communicate with parents to keep them informed of progress.
• Support school activities, events, and fundraisers.
• Supervise teacher assistants if applicable.
• Attend meetings and training; apply concepts in classroom.
• Meet performance and behavioral expectations of site director.
• Participate in staff evaluations using Foothills TKES.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Director.
