Job summary

The University of New Mexico-Gallup Branch, Math, Business, Science, and Technology Division, seeks qualified temporary part-time adjunct faculty to teach lower-division courses (1000–2000 level) for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027. Positions span disciplines including Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Geology, and Physics.

Adjunct instructors are responsible for teaching face-to-face classes, developing courses, meeting with students, grading, and reporting learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a Master’s Degree in the discipline or subfield, or a Master’s plus 18 graduate credits in the field.
• AQ minimum qualifications require a master’s degree in the discipline or related field, with additional graduate coursework as described.
• Preferred: PhD, ABD, or EdD and community college teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach face-to-face lower division courses (1000–2000 level) in listed disciplines.
• Develop lower division courses as needed for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027.
• Meet classes as scheduled, deliver content, grade assignments, and report student learning outcomes.
