Job summary

TL Worldwide Transportation, a trusted provider with over 50 years of service in Northeast Ohio, is seeking caring and safety-focused School Van Drivers in Akron, Ohio. This part-time, permanent position offers a consistent weekday schedule, transporting special education and day-treatment students to and from schools and agency locations.

Drivers enjoy a split-shift schedule with mornings and afternoons free from weekend or school-holiday work.

Qualifications

Valid Ohio driver's license and a clean driving record.
At least 21 years of age (some routes may require 25+).
Ability to pass pre-service physical and required drug screening.
Ability to complete a background check for work with children and vulnerable passengers.

Responsibilities

Safely transport special education and day-treatment passengers to and from assigned schools and agency locations.
Operate a company-owned, well-maintained vehicle.
Provide patient, courteous, and professional service to all passengers.
Follow assigned routes, schedules, and transportation instructions.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations staff.
Complete required vehicle safety inspections before each shift.
Adhere to company policies and all applicable transportation and safety requirements.
Ensure a safe, comfortable, and respectful transportation experience for all passengers.
