Job summary

Laurel Public Schools is seeking part-time Class E Van Drivers for daily AM and/or PM routes for the 2026-2027 school year. Regular routes run about 4 hours daily (2 hours AM and 2 hours PM) with a starting wage of $17.50 per hour. Open Until Filled.

Contact Transportation Director for details. Requirements include high school diploma or equivalent, Montana Class E license, First Aid/CPR, and successful completion of background checks and pre-employment screenings.

Qualifications

• Dependability and reliable work history with a good driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pre-employment drug test clearance required.
• DOT medical exam clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Operates a passenger van on an assigned route per schedule with caution and professionalism.
• Boards and discharges student passengers safely and maintains order.
• Enforces district safety policies and aims for an accident-free workplace.
• Maintains district policies for transportation and prepares daily reports.
• Completes required training, meetings, and safety drills as needed.
• Reports hazards to the transportation director immediately.
• Complies with state motor vehicle and education codes related to transporting students.
