Job summary

Tri County Transportation Inc. is seeking a part-time school van driver to transport students on morning and afternoon routes. The role includes pre-trip inspections, DOT compliance, post-trip checks, and ensuring student safety. Training is provided and no CDL is required. Typical schedule is about 22.5 hours per week across two routes, with morning hours around 6:00 a.m.

to 9:00 a.m. and afternoon hours around 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Weekday operations, with summer work optional.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver\'s license and a clean driving record.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must pass MVR, background check, clearances, a DOT physical and a drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Drive a van on a set route, morning and afternoon, carrying students to and from school.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle meets DOT requirements.
• Monitor and manage student behavior safely during routes.
• Complete post-trip checks and report any issues.
• Participate in optional field trips or activities with additional pay.
