Job summary

We Transport LLC in Bridgeport, CT is hiring a School Van Driver (Part Time). Pay is $17.00/hour. Schedule is part time, split shift AM/PM on weekdays with no nights or weekends.

Responsibilities include safely transporting students, assisting with entering/exiting, driving routes, pre/post trip inspections, maintaining a clean vehicle, and communicating with families and staff. Requirements include School Pupil Transport License or willingness to obtain, clean driving record, age 21+,

Qualifications

• School Pupil Transport License (V Endorsement) or willingness to obtain (we train)
• Safe driving record
• Age 21+ with at least 3 years of driving experience
• Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and a 7D physical
• Effectively communicate in English (spoken & written)

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and events
• May include assisting students entering/exiting the vehicle and using safety equipment (belts, car seats, booster seats)
• Drive assigned routes
• Perform pretrip and posttrip inspections
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle
• Communicate professionally with students, families, and school staff
• Follow all state/local traffic laws and school district policies
