Job summary

First Student, Inc. is hiring part-time School Van Drivers in Hamilton, Ohio. You will start the day with morning pickup and safely transport students to and from school, with opportunities for field trips and events.

Training is provided to help you become a safe, professional driver. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance options, a 401(k) with company match, and a flexible split-shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Hold a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.
• Willing to work part-time with split AM/PM routes.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading; assist students with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the vehicle to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of brakes, lights, tires, and exits.
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the vehicle clean and sanitary.
• Obey all traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about delays or behavior.
