Job summary

Scituate School Department seeks a Long Term Sub Speech-Language Pathologist (Anticipated) at Hope Elementary School in Hope, Rhode Island. This part-time role involves screening, assessing, and delivering speech-language services to students, with collaboration across teams and adherence to district and IDEA requirements.

The candidate will support IEP development, provide therapy services, and ensure compliant documentation while working with families and school staff.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and RI certification as a SLP.
• CCC-SLP from ASHA or eligibility to obtain is required.
• Experience working with school-aged children, including preschool preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and screen students for communication disorders and prepare reports.
• Provide evidence-based speech-language therapy individually or in groups.
• Develop and monitor IEP goals and coordinate with Evaluation and IEP Teams.
• Collaborate with teachers, families and related service providers.
• Assist with assistive technology and ensure documentation compliance.
• Maintain accurate records, logs and Medicaid documentation where applicable.
• Attend required meetings and support district initiatives.
