Qualifications

• Minimum of seven (7) years of full-time law enforcement experience.
• Current PA Act 120 / MPOETC certification or equivalent.
• NASRO School Resource Officer training completed prior to employment.
• Ability to pass all background investigations and clearances.
• Valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
• Ability to legally possess and carry a firearm.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with students, staff, and the public.
• Ability to respond to emergencies and high-stress situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible law enforcement and security presence in district schools.
• Protect the safety and welfare of students, staff, visitors, and property.
• Respond to emergencies, disturbances, safety concerns, and incidents on school property.
• Enforce laws and assist administrators in maintaining a safe environment.
• Conduct patrols of school buildings, grounds, and property.
• Assist with traffic and crowd control during events and school activities.
• Investigate incidents and prepare police and incident reports.
• Coordinate with local, state, and other law enforcement agencies when necessary.
• Develop professional relationships with students and staff while maintaining boundaries.
• Participate in emergency drills, preparedness, and crisis response.
