Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified School Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract - part-time position in Aurora, CO. The School RN oversees nursing processes and student care while supporting students' physical, mental, and emotional well-being in the school setting.

The role requires an active RN license in the state, preferred Bachelor's degree, and School Nurse Certification. Responsibilities include responding to emergencies and coordinating with families and school staff.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• School Nurse Certification as required by state or contract
• One year of school nursing, public health or pediatric experience preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate per contract or state regulations
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Oversee the nursing process and student care in a school setting
• Support the physical, mental and emotional well-being of students
• Promote health and safety and respond to medical emergencies
• Manage chronic conditions and coordinate with families, staff and providers
• Provide services per Amergis policies and physician orders
