Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a contract school psychologist to support K-12 students across multiple Baton Rouge area sites. The role is 29 hours per week during the school year, focusing on discipline requests and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to assess needs.

You will conduct educational assessments, write reports, and communicate results to families and educators, helping drive positive outcomes. NASP/LSSP credentials preferred; bilingual candidates are encouraged.

Qualifications

• NASP certification or LSSP from the Louisiana Board is required.
• Understanding of psychoeducational evaluations and IDEA compliance.
• Experience interpreting assessment data and writing comprehensive reports.
• Familiarity with special education eligibility and multidisciplinary processes.
• Ability to communicate results clearly with families and educators.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet timelines.
• Collaborate with diagnosticians, social workers, SLPs, and administrators.
• Bilingual candidates encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Conduct educational assessments and provide timely written reports.
• Offer information and referrals to families for community resources.
• Work directly with students and families using best practices.
• Maintain communication with school staff on intervention strategies.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings for individual student support.
• Keep accurate records for program accountability.
• Assist in interpreting assessment processes for staff and families.
• Engage in professional development and in-service activities.
