SPG Therapy & Education is seeking a part-time School Psychologist in California to conduct psychoeducational assessments for referred students and prepare legally defensible reports with clear recommendations. You will certify eligibility for placement and participate in IEP meetings, while providing counseling and consultation to families and school staff.

The role emphasizes ongoing mentorship, access to test kits, and a supportive, growth-oriented culture.

Qualifications

• Valid California PPS Credential in School Psychology.
• Ability to work in person.
• Proficiency in connecting with students and families.
• Eagerness to learn, grow, and continuously develop their professional expertise.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychoeducational assessments for referred students.
• Prepare comprehensive, legally defensible written reports of assessment findings with diagnoses and specific recommendations.
• Certify pupils' eligibility for placement in special education services, programs or classes.
• Participate in IEP meetings, following due process timelines.
• Provide counseling services to students, as needed.
• Provide consultative support to administrators, parents, students, school-based personnel and SPG staff on matters pertaining to special education procedures and guidelines, mental health issues, child development, student behavior, learning problems and relevant intervention strategies and recommendations.
