Job summary

Norfolk Public Schools is seeking a part-time School Psychologist (0.4 FTE) to support the district's social/emotional/behavioral health program. The role focuses on targeted interventions, crisis support, and collaboration with teachers to implement student plans.

Responsibilities include assessing and reporting on student functioning, contributing to IEP/504 compliance meetings, and partnering with families and external services to ensure continuity of care for high-need students.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in School Psychology or MSW from an accredited institution.
• Massachusetts DESE licensure as a School Psychologist.
• Experience in specialized therapeutic or social-emotional programs preferred.
• Knowledge of IDEA and 504 compliance and confidentiality requirements.
• Ability to manage caseload with a part-time schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling for students in the program.
• Collaborate with teachers and specialists to design and monitor BIPs.
• Deliver crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed during contracted hours.
• Incorporate trauma-informed, restorative practices into program culture.
• Participate in IEP and 504 meetings and ensure compliance timelines.
