Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist for a highly flexible, part-time assignment near Franklin, WI. You will support a kindergartener with nonverbal communication, autism spectrum disorder, and developmental delays using AAC.

Collaboration with teachers and caregivers is essential; you will develop individualized treatment plans and document progress while integrating OT into daily classroom routines. This role emphasizes patience, compassion, and strong hands-on OT skills.

Qualifications

• Current, valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Wisconsin.
• Experience delivering OT services within school settings, particularly to younger children.
• Familiarity and comfort working with students with significant developmental delays and autism spectrum disorders.
• Knowledge of and experience with AAC devices, nonverbal communication, and self-contained classroom environments.
• Ability to develop and follow individualized treatment plans for students with complex needs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with educators and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted OT interventions as prescribed in the student’s IEP, focused on optimizing access to the curriculum and daily school routines.
• Develop and adapt strategies and materials to facilitate the students participation, safety, and well-being.
• Collaborate with classroom staff and other specialists to integrate therapeutic activities into daily instruction.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate progress with the educational team.
