Job summary

Global Family School Elementary in Oakland, CA is hiring a Food Service Assistant III for 5 hours per day to support the Nutrition Services program. Responsibilities include food preparation, packaging, serving students, cashier duties, and maintaining sanitary facilities in line with health regulations.

Under the Nutrition Services Field Supervisor, you will help manage inventory, operate POS, and support meal programs across 204 days per year.

Qualifications

• Valid Food Safety Certificate (for Nutrition Services Assistant III)
• Employment eligibility that may include fingerprints, TB testing and/or other clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food and package items according to standards.
• Operate a point-of-service device and process payments.
• Maintain inventory and ensure sanitation of food service areas.
• Assist other Nutrition Services staff and provide supervision when needed.
• Perform related duties and cashiering as assigned.
