Edenton-Chowan Schools in Edenton, NC is seeking a Part-Time Food Service Assistant in the School Nutrition department to support daily meal service. Under supervision, you will help with food preparation, serving, cashiering, and kitchen sanitation to ensure nutritious, safe meals for students.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent), 1–2 years in institutional food service or customer service, basic math, reading recipes in English, and good interpersonal skills.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in institutional food preparation, food service, or customer service preferred.
• Knowledge of basic food safety and kitchen sanitation.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written recipes in English.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare, cook, and serve menu items following recipes and portion controls.
• Operate the POS terminal during meal periods and manage cash/receipts.
• Maintain sanitation in sinks and prep areas and follow HACCP/TPHC guidelines.
