Job summary

Laramie County School District #2 is seeking a Part-Time School Nurse in Pine Bluffs, WY. The nurse will report to the Building Principal(s) and provide essential health services in a school setting.

Responsibilities include health assessments, care coordination, health education, and maintaining confidentiality of student records with a focus on safe administration of medications and crisis response. Must be a Wyoming-licensed RN with required certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• License as Registered Nurse in Wyoming; Seclusion and Restraint certification.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record; background check.
• Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel, Google Suite and standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based nursing care to students and staff per Wyoming policies.
• Promote and protect student health; participate in IEP health planning.
• Develop and implement health plans; coordinate referrals to health resources.
• Maintain confidentiality and manage student health records per LCSD #2 policy.
• Administer medications and respond to health emergencies within school setting.
