Academy of Classical Education at Covington is seeking a part-time School Nurse to support the health program in the Covington, Louisiana campus. The nurse will maintain health records, conduct screenings, monitor immunizations, and advise staff, students, and families on health issues.

The role requires a current RN license in Louisiana, a school nurse certification or progress toward it, and at least three years of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Current license as a registered professional nurse in state.
• Certification as a school nurse or working toward this certification per state law.
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college.
• Minimum of three years nursing experience (preferred).
• Knowledge of K-12 health requirements and CSUSA policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain health record system using available technology.
• Plan and conduct health screenings and appraisals per state law and policy.
• Monitor immunization and medical records for newly enrolled students.
• Advise students, staff and parents on health issues; provide referrals as needed.
• Administer medications in accordance with state law and CSUSA policy.
