Job summary

SOUTH HIGH SCHOOL in Missouri is seeking a part-time Cashier to provide breakfast and lunch cashier services in a school setting. The role includes processing money and POS transactions and safeguarding confidential meal eligibility information.

The position is nine-months, at-will, with a daily schedule to be set by the Director of Food Services and the principal. The employee will be paid on a semi-monthly basis and hourly wages are in line with district pay schedules.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate aptitude for basic math and simple POS transactions.

Responsibilities

• Complete money and POS transactions for all sales.
• Keep free and reduced student meal eligibility confidential.
• Total and balance daily lunch sale receipts and prepare bank deposits.
• Keep accurate and detailed reports related to lunch sales.
• Assist kitchen personnel in meal service and related duties.
• Report equipment malfunctions and supply needs to the manager.
• Head Cashiers will prepare daily deposits and month-end reports as needed.
