Job summary

Fort Zumwalt R-2 School District North Middle School – OFallon, Missouri, is seeking a part-time Cashier for the school cafeteria. The role provides breakfast and lunch cashier service to students and staff in a courteous, efficient manner.

You will handle money and POS transactions, balance daily sales, and prepare deposits, while keeping meal eligibility confidential. You’ll assist kitchen staff, report equipment needs, and follow a nine-month, at-will schedule with the district's payroll

Qualifications

• Demonstrate aptitude for the successful performance of the tasks listed and utilize knowledge of simple math skills, such as adding, subtraction, multiplication, and simple division.

Responsibilities

• Complete money and POS transactions for all sales.
• Keep free and reduced student meal eligibility confidential.
• Total and balance daily lunch sale receipts and prepare bank deposit slips for money collected.
• Keep accurate and detailed reports related to lunch sales.
• Assist kitchen personnel in meal service and related duties.
• Report any related equipment malfunction and supply needs to the manager.
• Head Cashiers will prepare daily deposits and complete month-end reports as needed.
