Job summary

Hillsboro School District is seeking a Cook 1 at Century High School in Hillsboro, OR. This 5.75-hour, 10-month calendar position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with holidays off and school-year alignment.

Duties include preparing and serving food, tracking inventory, and assisting with ordering while keeping the kitchen clean. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, English communication skills, basic computer use, and a valid Food Handlers certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills in English.
• Proficient in the use of computer and Internet based applications, including but not limited to email and systems applications.
• Hold a valid Food Handlers certification.
• One year of experience in food service.
• Experience in the use and maintenance of industrial kitchen equipment.
• Knowledge of ingredients, supplies and methods used in cooking.
• Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety regulations for chemical use in the kitchen.
• Knowledge of food safety standards.
