Job summary

Mount Mansfield Union High School is seeking a part-time specialized assistant with nursing experience to support an individual student within the classroom and activities in Jericho, Vermont. The role is 10 hours per week and requires compassionate care under supervision.

Responsibilities include assisting with medical plans, hygiene needs, communications, and health-related tasks as delegated by a registered nurse.

Qualifications

• Part-time role, 10 hours per week, with duties in classroom support.
• Experience administering medications and diabetes care tasks.
• Must meet district requirements and work under school nurse supervision.

Responsibilities

• Works hours/days as required for the individual student or program.
• Implements and supports medical plans.
• Provides for hygienic needs of student(s) including feeding/diapering as needed.
• Assists students with communication aids.
• Provides health-related support as delegated by a nurse.
• Assists with supervision during field trips and drills.
• Attends team meetings and reports safety concerns.
