Compass Group USA is seeking a part-time Food Service Worker for Melrose Public Schools, MA. The role involves food preparation, serving, and maintaining safety standards in a school cafeteria setting. Hours are Monday through Friday with details discussed at interview.

A cooking background is required and pay is fixed at $18.80 per hour. As part of Chartwells K12’s team, you will operate in a fast-paced environment, interact with students and staff, and contribute to meal quality and service

Qualifications

• Cooking experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.
• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Assures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
