Job summary

Chartwells K12 is hiring immediately for part-time FOOD SERVICE WORKER/CASHIER positions in Portage, MI. The role runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 1:30 pm on school days, with online applications accepted only. Prior food service experience is preferred.

Pay ranges from $16.00 to $17.00 per hour, with benefits from the employer. As a cashier and general food service worker, you will support prep, service and dining room sanitation, and customer interactions.

Qualifications

• Prior food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs cashiering duties, including general food service work.
• Maintains sanitation standards in the preparation, service and dining room facilities.
• Washes, peels, cuts and seeds fruits and vegetables as needed.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations following safety standards.
• Stores foods in designated areas with proper wrapping, dating and rotation.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Follows sanitation and safety requirements and uses approved recipes.
