Job summary

Bentley Community School District in Burton, Michigan is seeking a part-time maintenance associate to support facilities across campus. The role covers HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, lock/door maintenance, custodial tasks, and seasonal mowing and snow removal.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in building maintenance or related field.
• Working knowledge of various maintenance trades ( carpentry, plumbing, electrical ).
• Ability to operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks on school buildings and grounds, including HVAC, basic electrical and plumbing systems, carpentry repairs, lock and door maintenance, and custodial duties.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain an inventory of tools and supplies and report safety hazards to supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for students, staff and visitors.
• Assist with furniture assembly and movement and maintain athletic fields.
