Job summary

Genuine Foods is seeking an Entry Level Food Service Worker for a part-time role at an NM higher education setting, Hobbs campus. You will prepare and serve meals according to recipes, interact with students and teachers, and support the kitchen team to deliver friendly, reliable service.

The role offers opportunities to learn culinary skills, work with a supportive team, and contribute to Genuine Foods’ mission of nourishing communities and promoting student engagement.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of food or customer service experience/training in a mid-high volume food service facility or restaurant.
• Must be flexible & team-oriented!
• Punctual and able to adhere to the time and attendance policy.

Responsibilities

• Make menu items pursuant to recipes.
• Prepare raw foodstuffs to get ready for final cooking.
• Follow the lead of the Culinary Lead at all times.
• Coordinate with the kitchen team at all times.
• Cook and assemble all menu items pursuant to specifications.
• Stock and organize the kitchen area.
• Clean and maintain cooking utensils.
• Interact with scholars and teachers as needed to provide excellent service.
• Maintain clean service areas.
• Any other duties assigned
• Alert Culinary Lead of any workplace problems
