Job summary

Chichester School District is seeking a part-time custodian to support school facilities in Aston, PA. Shifts run 3-7 or 3:30-7:30, up to 20 hours weekly in compliance with Child Labor Laws. Some weekend work and transportation arrangements may be required.

Candidate will clean classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas; responsibilities include waxing, dusting, washing, and disposing of waste. Must maintain GPA 2.5 and attend as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a GPA 2.5
• Attendance is mandatory; if you cannot attend school, you will not work
• No high-level disciplinary infractions or no more than 3 low level disciplinary infractions

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other building related needs
• Vacuum rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture
• Strip & wax classrooms & hallways
• Dust furniture, equipment, shelving, windowsill, and all ledge surfaces
• Polish and shine metal & chrome fixtures
• Wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork
• Wash windows, doors, and sills
• Empty wastebaskets, replace liners, take trash to dumpster
• Clean chalk boards and empty pencil sharpeners
• Transport trash and waste to disposal area
• Deep clean restrooms; disinfect mirrors, sinks, toilets, mop/scrub floors
• Pick up all refuse on floors or school grounds
• Secure buildings always
• Follow safety rules for handling cleaning agents and PPE; know power equipment guidelines
• Opportunity to work sporting events, plays, and concerts
• Support leadership in tasks to complete work orders
